These children are identified as "Katie" (Katheryne) Werner (left), Michael, and baby Christina Werner. Katie and Christina were the children of Charles and Catherine Werner (née Hilgert). It is not clear who Michael was--possibly a cousin (Hilgert family?). The Werners lived on Kidder Street in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. An index card attached to this record summarizes their marriage and is the only source for the fact that Catherine died in childbirth, giving birth to twins. Charles would later marry Sarah Jane Poole and have additional children. The family later moved to the Shortsville - Manchester, NY area. Note: this would be only one of two known photos of Katheryne; a photo of her as an adult would confirm identity; she later married Ralph Kipp. Names: Kipp, Katheryne Elizabeth "Katie" (née Werner), 1883-1960; Weir, Christina Caroline (née Werner), 1888-1959.
