Marriage notice, Rose Tucker and James Robb, Staten Island, New York, April 1906

Marriage notice for James Robb and Rose Tucker, dated April 28, 1906. Note: reference to "Mattie Robb" (near last line) in addition to "Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Robb" may refer to a younger Matthew Robb who was four years old and living with the Robb household as of the 1900 Census. Transcript: "ROBB—TUCKER.—Another pretty April wedding took place on Wednesday evening at the Church of the Ascension, when Rev. Pascal Harrower joined in wedlock, Miss Rose, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.Z. Tucker of Washington Avenue, Graniteville, and James Robb of West Brighton. The bride wore a gown of Brussells net lace over white taffeta. Her veil was fastened with orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of white roses. Miss Fannie Thompson, as bridesmaid, was attired in a white silk dress, princess style, and carried pink roses. Henry Shimmel acted as best man. After the ceremony a reception was tendered Mr. and Mrs. Robb at the residence of the bride's parents, which was attended by a large number of friends of the happy couple. The house was tastefully decorated, and the guests made merry until a late hour. A wedding supper was served. The presents were numerous and costly. After a short honeymoon, the newly married couple will make their home on Washington Avenue. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Robb, Mr. and Mrs. A.
