The document header reads: "CCY92 133/132 GOVT PRIORITY=WUX NEWYORK NY APR 4 1150P PRIORITY JAMES ROBB SR= 167 HARRISON PLACE STATEN ISLAND NY:" The document text reads: "=050248 I DEEPLY REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT YOUR SON JAMES WILLIAM ROBB JR US NAVY WAS KILLED 4 APRIL 1946 AT CULEBRA ISLAND PR WHEN A BOMB ACCIDENTALLY EXPLODED NEARBY IN AIR SUPPORT EXERCISES AND REMAINS ARE NOW AT THE NAVAL HOSPITAL SAN JUAN P TELEGRAPH BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY NAVY DEPARTMENT WASHINGTON DC IMMEDIATELY WHETHER YOU DESIRE REMAINS INTERRED IN NAVAL OR NATIONAL CEMETERY OR SENT HOME IF INTERRED BY NAVY ALL EXPENSES WILL BE PAID IF SENT HOME EXPENSES OF PREPARATION ENCASEMENT AND TRANSPORTATION WILL BE PREPAID AND REASONABLE NECESSARY FUNERAL EXPENSES NOT EXCEEDING FIFTY DOLLARS REIMBURSED ON APPLICATION TO BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY NAVY DEPARTMENT ESCORT OF ONE PERSON WILL ACCOMPANY REMAINS HOME IF REQUESTED SINCEREST SYMPATHY EXTENDED LETTER FOLLOWS W L KABLER CAPTAIN USN= COMPHIBLANT US NAVCOM."
